Investor Discover
Refund & cancellation policy
Last updated April 5, 2026
1. Overview
This policy describes how refunds, trials, and subscription cancellations work for Investor Discover’s digital subscription (“Service”). It supplements our Terms of Service. Payment processing may be handled by a third party (e.g., Stripe); their terms also apply where relevant.
2. Free trial
When we offer a free trial, its length, eligibility, and whether a payment method is required are stated at signup or checkout. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your subscription may convert to a paid plan at the then-current rate for the tier you selected.
You are responsible for canceling before the trial ends if you do not wish to be charged. Trial terms may change; we will show the applicable terms before you start a trial.
3. Subscription billing
Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the interval you choose (e.g., monthly or annual) until you cancel. Fees are non-refundable except as stated in this policy or where required by law. Taxes may be added based on your billing address.
4. How to cancel
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account billing settings or customer portal, when available. Cancellation stops future charges; it does not automatically refund prior charges unless this policy or law requires a refund.
If you need help canceling, contact support@investordiscover.com from the email on your account.
5. Refund eligibility
Investor Discover may offer refunds in limited circumstances, including where we determine in good faith that:
- You were charged in error or duplicate for the same billing period.
- A material technical failure on our side prevented you from accessing the Service for a sustained period during a period you paid for, and we could not restore access within a reasonable time.
- Mandatory consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction require a cooling-off or refund right that applies to your purchase.
Refund requests must be submitted promptly after the issue arises. We may ask for account details and payment receipts to verify your request.
6. Generally non-refundable situations
Refunds are typically not provided when:
- You forgot to cancel before renewal or before a trial converted to paid.
- You used the Service substantially during the period you are disputing (e.g., exports, heavy usage).
- You are dissatisfied with fundraising outcomes, response rates, or the accuracy of third-party or crowdsourced data-we provide access to tools and data, not guaranteed results.
- A chargeback or dispute was filed with your bank before contacting us, except where prohibited.
7. Chargebacks and payment disputes
If you believe a charge is incorrect, contact us first so we can review. Unwarranted chargebacks may result in suspension of your account and may complicate future access to the Service.
8. Processing time
Approved refunds are typically issued to your original payment method within ten (10) business days; timing may depend on your bank or card issuer.
